Our highly trained staff is dedicated to supporting the development of all children. Our teachers and support staff use Maria Montessori's proven methodologies and a highly effective curriculum to help children grow academically, socially, and physically. We regularly participate in professional development in order to improve our skills and offer a better learning experience for the children.
Director/Teacher
Amber Jennings holds the AMS Early Childhood Credential and has been teaching in a Montessori Classroom for 15 years. Amber is currently in the process of completing her Montessori Lower and Upper Elementary Certification through MEI in Louisville TN. In addition to Montessori Education, Amber has been a fitness instructor for over 15 years and incorporates fitness in our daily school routine.
Co-Teachers
Sally Rogers has a BS in Early Childhood Education Pre-K-Grade 4 and has 8 years of teaching experience in a traditional setting. Sally is currently working towards her Montessori Elementary Certification with MEI in Louisville TN. Sally teaches three days in the elementary classroom.
Jessica Hodges recently graduated from TSU with a BS in Psychology and holds an AS in Spanish. She is also in the process of completing her Montessori Early Childhood training through MEI. She has worked with children in school settings and as a nanny for 10 years and has really enjoyed her first year of teaching in our Montessori Primary classroom. She also attended a Montessori School as a child.
Lela Gregory holds her B.A. in foreign language from TSU and her Masters of Arts in Learning and Teaching from Lipscomb University. She has 2 years teaching experience, as well as tutoring experience. She works in our primary classroom part time as a Spanish teacher, teaching assistant.and helps with our aftercare hours.
Specialty Teachers
Nina Adel is our Spanish teacher as well as pottery teacher. The Elementary class will have regular Spanish lessons as well as pottery. Nina has taught them so many techniques that clay will be readily available for the children to work with throughout the school day. We would like to give a huge Thank You to All Fired Up for firing our pottery and allowing us to come in to their store to glaze.
Ed Haggard is our African Drumming teacher. He is the founder of the fantastic Love Drums and Whiz Bang. He also teaches drumming to adults and children throughout the Nashville area.
Mollie Martin is our Drama and Handwork teacher as well as a teaching assistant in the primary room two days/week. She teaches drama and leads our elementary class in two theatrical performances throughout the school year. Mollie also is the lead for our craft fair/fall festival which showcases our student's handwork for sale, and is our primary fundraiser of the school year.
Caesar Cirigliano is our music teacher. He works with the elementary students once/week privately with voice, guitar or piano. He has his degree in music composition from The University of Tampa and has been in the music industry for 30+ years. He is owner of Housequake Studios here in Nashville.
