Staff

Our highly trained staff is dedicated to supporting the development of all children. Our teachers and support staff use Maria Montessori's proven methodologies and a highly effective curriculum to help children grow academically, socially, and physically. We regularly participate in professional development in order to improve our skills and offer a better learning experience for the children.

Director/Teacher

Amber Jennings holds the AMS Early Childhood Credential and has been teaching in a Montessori Classroom for 15 years.  Amber is currently in the process of completing her Montessori Lower and Upper Elementary Certification through MEI in Louisville TN.  In addition to Montessori Education, Amber has been a fitness instructor for over 15 years and incorporates fitness in our daily school routine.

Co-Teachers

Sally Rogers has a BS in Early Childhood Education Pre-K-Grade 4 and has 8 years of teaching experience in a traditional setting.  Sally is currently working towards her Montessori Elementary Certification with MEI in Louisville TN.  Sally teaches three days in the elementary classroom.

Jessica Hodges  recently graduated from TSU with a BS in Psychology and holds an AS in Spanish.  She is also in the process of completing her Montessori Early Childhood training through MEI.  She has worked with children in school settings and as a nanny for 10 years and has really enjoyed her first year of teaching in our Montessori Primary classroom.  She also attended a Montessori School as a child.

Specialty Teachers

Heather Gerber  has assisted in our Primary Classroom and soon after began using her sewing, knitting and other creative talents to become our handwork teacher.  The children have learned to sew by hand and on the machine.  They have also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidery and journal binding.

Nina Adel is our Spanish teacher as well as pottery teacher.  The Elementary class will have regular Spanish lessons as well as pottery.  Nina has taught them so many techniques that clay will be readily available for the children to work with throughout the school day.  We would like to give a huge Thank You to All Fired Up for firing our pottery and allowing us to come in to their store to glaze.

Ed Haggard is our African Drumming teacher.  He is the founder of the fantastic Love Drums and Whiz Bang.  He also teaches drumming to adults and children throughout the Nashville area.

Tony Gerber is our Native American Flute teacher.  He will be teaching Kindergarten through Elementary students to play beautiful wooden Native American Flutes.

Molly Martin is our Drama teacher.  She teaches drama twice per week and will aid in the presentation of two theatrical performances throughout the school year.

Jonathan Dixon works with Good Food for Good People. He teaches our gardening program.  It has been wonderful for the children to have hands on experience in our garden and see the amazing things they can grow themselves!
